Analysis

According to the chart of fuel costs, the 2011 Ford Escape that uses 22MPG is more expensive than a typical car that uses 30MPG.  The typical car would save $3,850 in fuel costs.

Importance

The impact of the car that uses 30MPG saves only 2.5 cents per mile, however, you save $385 in a year and then $3,850 every 10 years.  This evaluation shows that a car with a higher gas mileage saves the most money and is more efficient to drive.
